A pillar with a plastic depiction of the “Coronation of Mary” in Sankt Andrä am Zicksee. The memorial dates back to 1877 and was donated by the Sattler family. In the Catholic Church, the Coronation of Mary is the coronation of Mary, the Mother of the Lord, who was assumed body and soul into heaven. The idea of Mary’s coronation is linked to her invocation as “Queen”, “Queen of Heaven” or “Queen of Angels”. Such additions have been in widespread use since the 12th century.
