The idea arose to write this guide to keep players from getting bored after a long time playing Farming Simulator 22. This guide covers a wide variety of things in the game, which you can try with default game or FS22 mods. Of course, this guide is only for the game, it is not suitable for real-life farming.

What is Farming Simulator 22?

Farming Simulator is a video game, where players can farm, grow crops, breed livestock, engage in forestry and more. Today this is the most realistic farming game in the world. Farming Simulator 22 is the ninth game of the Giants (game developers). Each Farming Simulator arrives with better graphics, realistic physics, more machinery and equipment, new maps and new functions. Thanks to optimizations, one usually do not need to have a very powerful PC to run Farming Simulator 22, quite different from Flight Simulator 2020. All FS games have sold over 25 million copies combined, as well as had 90 million mobile downloads. First steps in Career mode

Farming Simulator 22 has a missions system but does not have a campaign. That is not a bad thing. When you start playing career mode you have complete freedom to do what you want. • Easy – you will start with a lot of money in you bank account. You already will own some plot and machinery with equipment. Purchase prices will be high enough to get high profit from yield. When you done missions, you will get a lot of money. The weather will be favorable. Also, you will can avoid drought, land degradation and rot of the crop.
• Medium – you will start with relatively small amount of money or it is possible that your garage will be empty, but for that you will start with large amount of money. You will own only single or will not own any land. So, you will must to buy land before start working. Purchase prices will be average, so get high profit will be a little be harder. Salary for missions completing will be average. The weather will be unstable and it’s possible attain drought
• Hard – you start with low amount of money. In your garage will be only cheap machinery with equipment. Purchase prices of yield will be low. Weather will be very unstable with drought or a lot of raining. Salary for missions will be very small.

This guide is not decided for any difficulty level. So, you use it at whatever level you will choose. But we want to draw attention, that levels of difficulty will impact time to reach your goals.

Decide what kind of farming you will be doing

The game is amazing in that it has a large selection of farming types. You don’t have to grow wheat or another crop type. In Farming Simulator 22 you will be able to choose from these crop types: wheat, barley, canola, oat, sorghum, corn, sunflowers, soybeans, potatoes, sugar beet, sugarcane, cotton, grapes, olives and grass. That is a high variety of crops.

Grow crops

To grow wheat, barley, canola, oat, sorghum, corn, sunflowers, soybeans and corn you will need a standard harvester with a header. Much more expensive machinery is needed if you start to grow potatoes, sugar beet, cotton, grapes or olives. These harvesters are the most expensive equipment in the game.

To get the yield you will need a tractor with a cultivator, trailer, seeder. These instruments are pretty cheap and default to start farming. Also is important to have a harvester. When you harvest, you will transport yield to purchase points or in your silo. Every time, you will transport yield to purchase point check the purchase prices. Prices are constantly changing. If you think that prices are too low, you can transport yield to the silo and keep it until prices rise. From time to time in some purchase points go high demand action, when prices are highly increased.

When growing groups you will be busy with a lot of additional jobs, like spraying fertilizer, destroying weeds, making bales with baller machines and more.

Logging

If growing wheat or another type of crop looks boring for you, why not starting to logging? This feature was introduced in Farming Simulator 17 and it expands in each FS version. To start logging, you must purchase various equipment. Firstly, you need a lumber cutter. The cutter can be attached to a tractor or be self-propelled. Self-propelled lumber harvesters are very expensive and usually do not fit to start a logging business. Then think about a logging trailer. In these trailers is much easier to load logs. With this equipment, you will be able to sell logs to the selling point. Another way to earn from logging is to make wood chips and sell them.

Grow cattle

Another interesting way to enjoy Farming Simulator 22 is to grow cattle. In default, the game will be included cows, pigs, sheep, chickens and horses. Every species is very different and required proper maintenance. The easiest care is to grow chickens. The hardest care is for pigs. For pigs needed a mixed ration of food. In FS22 you will be able to buy pig food from a store, so it will be much easier than FS19 when you must have got every food part and then mix it. When pigs weights enough you will be able to sell for profit. Also, they produce a slurry, which you can use as fertilizer when preparing the field. Cows produce milk and they are fed by simple feed, like grass or forage. Sheep produce wool, which you can sell or transport to the spinner and then make clothes.

Do not ignore production chains

Farming Simulator 22 at the first time will introduce production chains. That means, that you will be able to make the final product from various raw materials. You will be able to make furniture, bake cakes, make oil, clothes and much more finished products. This type of game will not only bring more joy but is also more profitable. Of course, you must have some transport. So, before making products buy some trucks or trailers to transport goods.
